Sarika Chawla is a Los Angeles-based writer and editor who creates content for every platform. With over a decade of experience in the tourism industry, she is the currently the editor of a series of branded travel magazines, and creates web, video and social-media content for a number of travel clients.
As a successful freelancer, she writes about health and parenting for outlets such as The Washington Post, Vice, Quartz, Salon, and Paste Magazine. She writes monthly for Mom.me and has had columns at Viv magazine and LA2Day.com.
Sarika spent several years as the editorial director at Peter Greenberg Worldwide, where she produced content for CBS News, New York Times best-selling books, and nationally syndicated radio features, among dozens of other high-profile outlets. In that time, she was also the Senior News Producer for a 13-episode travel series that aired on PBS stations nationwide.
Sarika began her writing career in New York City reviewing theater for Backstage.com. Upon moving to Los Angeles to obtain a master’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, she became a theater critic at Backstage West.
